crystal: Okay, Annabelle... I'm going to go back to town. You need to stay here in this crypt until I come and get you. Okay?
annabelle: Oh, but I'm getting SO hungry... just let me go get a little something to gnaw on...
crystal: No! No brains for you right now! We've got to keep you hidden for a little while, until I can figure out...
annabelle: This is boring! I can't stay down here all the time! You can't keep me here!
crystal: No excuses! I'm the boss!
crystal: Who's the demon here? I am... so you have to do as I say.
annabelle: Right. The zombie will always defer to the demon... We'll see how long that lasts...
crystal: Annabelle, you can't come out just yet. You understand, don't you?
annabelle: I guess so...
crystal: If you stay here, I'll bring you some brains.
annabelle: Human brains?
crystal: Uh... yes.
annabelle: Fresh human brains?
crystal: Sure.
annabelle: Then what's the difference if you bring it to me or I go find it? There's no reason I can't got out and get my own food.
crystal: Just wait a little longer... please?
annabelle: Well... I'll wait. But you better be bringing some food soon.
crystal: If they find you, you'll be dead... uh, again.
annabelle: Well, that's fine. I'll fight them, and I'll win, and I'll devour them.
crystal: But this is not the right time. We got to... uh, we've got to wait until they're not expecting it... yeah.
crystal: Now I'll keep watch, and when the time is right I'll come and get you.
annabelle: That sounds reasonable...
crystal: Okay. I'll be back as soon as I can. You stay right here.
annabelle: I'll try as hard as I can.
crystal: Well, I guess that went well...
crystal: I just hope she stays put. She's won't so anything stupid... but she's planning something... I just know it.
sheriff: Well, good afternoon. I thought I'd find you here.
crystal: Oh, hello, Sheriff.
crystal: Yeah, I'm just out for a walk... nothing special...
sheriff: Sure. And now I expect you're going to find Barlow... and let him know where our little visitor is staying.
sheriff: You don't think you can keep her, do you?
crystal: I don't know what you're talking about...
sheriff: I'm the Sheriff of Spider Cliff. There's not a lot that goes on here without my knowledge.
crystal: Yeah? Then why don't you ever act on those things then? You don't actually do much of anything, do you?
sheriff: Don't mistake inaction for lack of knowledge. I never overstep myself and throw things out of balance.
crystal: Alright, how much do you know?!
sheriff: What? that you're hiding a zombie down in that crypt?
crystal: Oh, I guess you know just about everything...
sheriff: Except why you want to keep her. Care to explain?
crystal: She's not so bad. I think she could be reformed, like I was. I can just tell that she wants to be a good person.
sheriff: And the fact that she's a mindless brain-eater makes that possible?
crystal: Annabelle can be reformed. I know I can turn her into a product member of society.
sheriff: Crystal, I understand if you feel like a misfit in Spider Cliff, being a demon and all... but making friends with a zombie isn't going to go over well with the townsfolk.
crystal: But if they just met her.. I'm sure everyone would agree that she's harmless...
crystal: This is none of your business!
sheriff: You're right, this isn't any of my business...
sheriff: But this IS Barlow's business. The demon-hunter has final say about supernatural visitors in this town.
sheriff: As harmless as she may appear to you, we can't have a zombie walking the streets of Spider Cliff.
sheriff: You have to tell Barlow where she is. It's his official role to take care of things like this. Maybe Barlow will let her stay.
crystal: I doubt it. She already tried to kill him once.
crystal: Oh, I wish I didn't just say that.
sheriff: Well, I can't interfere. It's up to you to tell Barlow about her.
crystal: Don't worry... I'm going to tell Barlow.
sheriff: Good. The sooner you tell him, the sooner we can move on with things.
crystal: Yeah, just wreck my good mood...
crystal: Stay out of this, if you know what's good for you!
sheriff: Are you threatening an officer of the law?!
crystal: Yes. I reserve the right, as a demon, to threaten you.
sheriff: Oh. Okay.
sheriff: Just remember that it's your responsibility to tell Barlow.
crystal: Please... let me handle this...
sheriff: Hey, I'm not going to get involved, except to say that you've got to make a choice here. You can save us, or you can endanger us. It's all up to you.
crystal: Oh, he makes it sound like this is a big dilemma. I know that Annabelle's murderous hunger can be put aside.... somehow.
