crystal: Barlow? *cough* ....Barlow, are you there?
crystal: Oh, Barlow...
crystal: That was the stupidest thing I've ever seen! You fired the cannon right into it, didn't you?!
crystal: We all could've been killed, you know!
crystal: You've got a lot of... knife?
barlow: It's time to take care of the demon problem.
crystal: But we were partners! We solved the case together... We rescued Turnip!
barlow: And he's grateful. But I was only teaming up with you to solve the case. Now that it's over, we still have a problem.
crystal: Did that blast knock something loose upstairs?!
barlow: No.
crystal: Well, I was just checking... since you ARE coming at we with a knife!
barlow: That's what I'm supposed to do. I'm a demon-hunter!
crystal: Maybe I can make it up to you... you know...
barlow: No, I don't know.
crystal: Oh, drat. Why isn't my natural charm working?
barlow: Oh, I'm probably being put off by those... things... growing out of your head.
crystal: What's wrong with my antennae? Lots of demons have them!
barlow: What?... Are you some sort of insect demon?
crystal: I AM NOT! I'm a Gorgon... at least partly. And my eyes can turn you to stone!
barlow: Hence the knife.
crystal: Maybe we can come to an agreement...
barlow: Oh no you don't! I know all about your demon agreements... there's always small print that makes me give up my soul!
crystal: Those agreements are written by lawyers... not demons.
barlow: Demon lawyers?
crystal: There are NO demon lawyers. We're evil, but we're not THAT evil.
crystal: What IS the problem we have?
barlow: Are you serious?!
barlow: You are a demon. You were sent here to destroy the town. I've had to keep a close watch on you.
crystal: You didn't even know I was a demon until recently. And plus, you heard the Sheriff... we counter-balance.
barlow: That would be fine if I was going to stay here, but I am leaving town... I am going to the University of Sprawling-Mossville... and I can't leave until YOU are taken care of.
crystal: Well... uh, hear me out. There's no need for violence... let me explain...
barlow: Okay, but this better be good.
crystal: Let me explain why I'm not a threat...
barlow: Oh, this'll be good.
crystal: I'm just... tired.
barlow: That's it?! I shouldn't kill you because... you're tired?
crystal: I'm just tired of living like I have been... in the big city, pouring over the latest fashion magazine, going to noisy clubs, trying to remember which subway lines are running, stalking victims... I'm just tired of it all.
barlow: Oh boo-hoo. This makes no sense whatsoever.
crystal: I want to start over.
barlow: And stalk your victims here? I don't think so.
crystal: No, I don't need to do that.
barlow: What are you going to do this time?
crystal: I want... a more meaningful life. I want to be away from all that distraction. I want to be here.
crystal: You don't really want to kill me.
barlow: What makes you so sure of yourself?
crystal: You've always resisted being called a demon-hunter.
barlow: That was before I knew that demons really existed.
crystal: But don't you realize... if you kill me, that's it. There's no turning back. You're going to be the demon-hunter of Spider Cliff for good. They'll never let you leave.
barlow: So you think the Fates are against me?
crystal: The Fates are against everyone. I went to grammar school with them... they're real bitches.
barlow: Okay, I agree that I don't WANT to kill you, but I still feel like I HAVE to.
crystal: You don't really want to leave Spider Cliff.
barlow: No... it's only THE THING I WANT MOST IN THIS WORLD!
crystal: Oh, really? And how do you plan to leave?
barlow: Well, I'll find a way...
crystal: You HAD a way. You could've used the cannon, but instead you used it to save Turnip.
barlow: Turnip was in danger! I had to do it.
crystal: You see? Your friends are more important to you than leaving here.
barlow: Just what are you trying to prove?
crystal: Just that you're a good person, Barlow. I know you're able to make an intelligent decision when it matters.
crystal: Just do what you need to do.
barlow: Are you serious?
crystal: I'm done arguing. Just make your choice.
crystal: So make the intelligent decision to not kill me.
barlow: And that would be intelligent... how?
crystal: Can't you just let me have a second chance on life?
barlow: I suppose... if I have to stay in town for a while... I guess you might as well stay too...
barlow: But I'll be watching you... and when I leave town, you have to leave too.
crystal: Agreed.
barlow: Your argument is not very persuasive. Maybe you aren't capable of crafty evil things after all.
barlow: I'm not going to kill you right now... but it's only because I'm in an incredible amount of pain right now.
barlow: But tomorrow, demon... tomorrow you will die.
