narrator: The next morning...
crystal: Coffee?
barlow: Keep it coming.
crystal: I didn't see you last night.
barlow: Likewise.
crystal: So where were you?
barlow: I was waiting for you.
crystal: For me? I... I was out all night. Had things to do.
barlow: I was waiting for a certain demon to destroy the town...
barlow: But she never showed up.
barlow: It's none of your business where I was.
crystal: Well, aren't you Mister Charming this morning.
barlow: I didn't get any sleep last night, alright?!
crystal: Well, neither did I!
barlow: What kind of things do demons do at night?
barlow: Things to do?... Like plotting violent crimes?
crystal: Violent crimes? Look around... everyone here is safe and accounted for.
barlow: I know about your plan, demon...
barlow: I just don't know why you didn't show up.
barlow: Is everyone really safe?
crystal: Who's missing?
barlow: Where's Turnip?
crystal: I saw him yesterday, in the late afternoon.
barlow: A likely story, demon!
barlow: And Where were you last night?
crystal: Where do you think I was?
barlow: I don't know. I was expecting you to try to destroy the town.
crystal: Hehe... why?...
barlow: Give it up, demon.
barlow: Oh, do demons even sleep?
crystal: We sleep a lot more that you humans... uh, I mean...
crystal: Oh, whatever...
crystal: Okay, so you figured it out. I guess it was inevitable.
crystal: Do you have any questions before we fight to the death?
barlow: Can I get some more coffee?
crystal: Sure.
barlow: Thank you.
barlow: What is your true form?
crystal: My true form? Well, a lot of humans say my true for is almost unfathomably beautiful, like a goddess walking among mortals.
barlow: So why don't you use that form?
crystal: I AM USING IT!!!
barlow: Why didn't you try to pull the release lever last night?
crystal: Believe me, I planned to. I waited all night by the cannon. I was going to ambush you, take the key, pull the lever, and use the cannon to get away. But YOU never showed up!
crystal: But while I was waiting for you, I got to thinking.... oh, never mind.
barlow: Please tell me.
crystal: I started thinking about my life so far and about Spider Cliff, and well... I'd kind of like to try living here.
barlow: What?! NO WAY!!!
barlow: Spill your guts, or I'll spill them for you!
crystal: I didn't realize you were so interested in my feelings.
barlow: I'm not! Er... maybe a little.
crystal: Well, then.
barlow: I take it back! I'm not interested.
crystal: Then I'll just sum it up... I've decided to stay here.
barlow: WHAT?! You can't do that!
crystal: Give me one good reason why I can't stay.
barlow: You're a demon. Duh.
crystal: That's not a reason.
barlow: When I leave, the town will be defenseless against you!
crystal: I promise I'll be good.
barlow: You already admitted that you intended to destroy us.
crystal: Well, that was THEN...
barlow: And things are different now?!
barlow: Besides, you already cut down the bridge.
crystal: I did NOT cut down the bridge!
barlow: Really?
crystal: Why do you think we were investigating it?!
barlow: You're a city-girl... er, a city-demon. That doesn't sound right. What's the word?
crystal: Suburban spawn.
barlow: Yeah, that's you!
crystal: That doesn't mean I can't stay here. I feel like a fit in here.
barlow: Someone has been playing us off each other.
crystal: You think so?
barlow: Yeah. Don't you think it's strange that we were given chances to get what we really wanted? I was given the cannon and you were shown to the restraining bar.
barlow: It was to distract us from our investigation.
barlow: Come on, this is not done yet!
barlow: If you didn't destroy the bridge...
crystal: Someone else did. This isn't over yet. Can we put aside our differences and work together on this?
barlow: Okay, but this is only a temporary truce.
