barlow: Okay, since I'm leaving via cannon, I'm rather limited in which books I take with me. I'll have to grab a few of the most important volumes.barlow: Now which ones should I take?
barlow: Come what may, I'll be needing this one at school.
barlow: Ha! I don't think I've ever opened that one. I always intended to hollow it out to keep things in there.
barlow: I can't take all of those, it's like thirty or forty books.
barlow: Maybe I can take just a few choice volumes.
barlow: Oh, I can't decide!
barlow: I left that evil marble from Alex's detector here, but it seems to have multiplied!
barlow: Oh, I know what these are. These are the ball bearings from the Sheriff's mammal traps. Turnip must be dropping them here for safe keeping.
barlow: That's pretty clever, actually. The Sheriff will never look in here.
barlow: Well, I guess it's time to go...
barlow: There goes Crystal. I can leave the investigation into the bridge in her hands.
barlow: I'm sure she'll find the-
barlow: This one moved!
barlow: I should have known!
barlow: She was the only one present when the bridge went down! She is the only one I don't know well... and now... now I know she's a demon! She must've cut the bridge to trap us here!
barlow: I need to make a plan!
barlow: I need to do more research on demons.
barlow: Wait a minute! There's no time... she's probably waiting for nightfall to kill us all in our sleep!
barlow: I need to use what I know now! I just wish I'd paid attention during all that demonology training. Who knew it would be useful?
barlow: I can get the Sheriff to arrest her.
barlow: No, wait. He's always telling me that supernatural issues are my department. He won't be any help at all.
barlow: I need to slay her myself.
barlow: Right, I'll just go upstairs and kill her. Nothing to it... uh... it's just I wouldn't mind killing a hideous demon, but she looks so...
barlow: ....maybe there's a way to make her change into her true form.
barlow: I know! I'll get Alex to help me.
barlow: Hey Alex. Whatcha doing?
alex: The invasion is coming, Barlow. I predict they're going to come from the woods. But I'll be ready for them...
alex: I know you don't believe me, Barlow, but we have a problem... a demonic invasion.
barlow: Actually, I do believe you.
alex: I knew it! You were just feigning your skepticism to keep our morale up!
barlow: Er... right. You saw right through me.
alex: You should have told me earlier, I wouldn't have been so loud about the whole situation.
barlow: What would we do if the demon had already infiltrated our community?
alex: Barlow, you speak of the most dangerous of situations. And it would require the most desperate of measures.
barlow: Meaning?
alex: Purification would be required. The demon would undoubtedly be able to possess weaker mortals, so we'd have to kill everyone who came into contact with it.
barlow: Well...
barlow: Heh... it's a good thing that hasn't happened, right?
alex: Exactly, but make no mistake... If it comes to it, that's precisely what I'm willing to do, for the good of the town.
barlow: Well, I think our best plan is for you to keep watch here.
alex: I'm glad you approve. I'll shoot up a flare when the demons approach...
alex: If you see a blue flare, it means you should get here quickly to defend this location.
alex: If you see a red flare, it means all is lost...so you should pull the switch to release the restraining bar. Destroying the town is the only way to save our souls.
barlow: I'm afraid it's come to that. I have evidence that the demon is already among us.
alex: Then our best plan of action is to pull the switch to release the restraining bar. The town is already lost, but at least we might take it with us.
barlow: The restraining bar! That's how she'll do it!
barlow: Thanks a lot, Alex! You stay here and keep a lookout. I have something else to do.
